13 Flags for 13 Heroes
As some may know we have been traveling the state of California performing a ceremony to the 13 service members killed in Afghanistan August 26, 2021. Yesterday marked the year anniversary of the 13 K IA. We performed the 13 Flags for 13 Heroes ( AKA 13For13) at the Los Angeles National Cemetery (LANC) August 26, 2022 to mark this important milestone. Milestone as in beginning of the long needed healing and remembrance process for the families, friends and grieving nation. Further to that process, we will be in Orange County CA, at the Newport Beach Sons of the American Legion Squadron 291, for their annual 9/11 event.
At this event I will perform a very special 13 Flags for 13 Heroes ceremony along with an honor roll to be unfurled dedicated to the 13 and all their comrades KIA in the 20 year “War on Terror”.
At the end of the 13 Flags for 13 Heroes ceremony, as the 13 KIA represent the book end to the Towers, I will ask that from that point forward the “War on Terror” Service Personnel KIAs be included in the 911 ceremonies. Finally, It is our intent to continue to tour California patriotic venues around the state to garner further attention and begin a fund raising campaign to build a memorial to ALL those service personnel KIA during the 20 year War on Terror.
